The service supports people with a range of health conditions, as a large number of conditions can affect speech or swallowing. These conditions include strokes, Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor-Neuron Disease, dementia and head and neck cancers.

The service also works with people who have voice and fluency problems, such as stammering.
